Brian Bonz - “Owl Prowls Elm Village”
I’m very excited to see that Brian Bonz will be releasing his new album, The Triborough Odyssey, later this month. He has definitely grown and matured on this record and I can wholeheartedly say I love the direction he has gone in. The music reminds me of Andrew Bird but the vocals are uniquely Brian. This could quite possibly be the album that garners the attention this talented musician deserves.
One common thread between this song, and of songs past, is the slow build that happens oh so suddenly, leaving you to question whether or not you’re still listening to the same song. Luckily, Brian leaves us with a trace of familiarity at the end, making this song seem like a sweet and fairly distant memory that gets seeded into our heads, making us want to listen to it all over again.
